Welcome to 10 Cent Studio! I’m thrilled to share my new website and journal with you. Spring has arrived in Western Canada and I think we are all feeling a sense of excitement at the promise of a fresh new season. The past few months have been creatively invigorating for me and I have renewed interest in placing myself within an active daily art practice.
Currently, I have three photography series in the works and a full series of oil paintings that I want to complete. It’s been a few years since I graduated with my BFA in drawing and I felt I needed a refresher in painting, so I am taking a class. I love it! Sometimes it’s important to go back to the beginning, right? You will find a focus on symbolism and allegory in my work and I intend to continue to utilize self-portrait as a method to convey my stories.
Talent is a pursued interest. Anything that you’re willing to practice, you can do.
